Dizzy Spells

Well it has been awhile since I have been able to log on and write about what is going on with the Kramer Family. Joey has the computer usually 6 days a week so I might get lucky on Sundays and get to use it to catch up on emails and blogging and such...

Well life here is pretty much same as usual. Ethan spent Friday night with his Grammie and Poppy because they called wanting to have a sleepover with the boys, so Joey and I got to go out to a Mommy and Daddy quiet dinner without any interuptions.

Ethan is becoming quite the little helper around the house. It truly is amazing what children pick up on. I can not even begin to count the times Ethan has watched Joey clean out our fire place prior to starting a fire on cold nights. Well it is these little things that you really dont think children notice but believe me they do. Friday morning, prior to heading out to drop Ethan at Kim's, I started up one of his favorite shows and told him I was getting a quick shower. Now this is something we do day after day and he will always sit there mesmerized by the TV and not move a muscle. Well for some reason he decided he wanted Friday to be different. I took a quick shower and when I got out I could still here the show playing in the living room so I went ahead and dressed quickly. Once I went out to the living room to check on him I noticed he was not in the spot where he had been sitting when I went to get in the shower. I walked the downstairs looking for him and did not see him anywhere. As I was coming out of the kitchen I noticed something blue sticking out of the fireplace and quickly realized it was Ethan's pajama footie. I rushed over and what did I see.....my 2-year old with dust pan in hand fully seated in the fireplace scooping up the debris and dumping it out on to my fireplace stoop. I was in total shock. This was a moment I wish I had grabbed my camera, but I was worried about him eating the soot so I grabbed a rag and quickly got him cleaned up and undressed. In hind sight it really was a sweet gesture. Maybe next time I will get lucky enough for him to try and run the vaccuum!!!!

As for our other baby, she and I are headed to the doctor for a check-up first thing tomorrow morning. This is a routine check-up but I am glad it is time for me to go in because I have been experiencing mild to moderate dizzy spells for the past week. They come at random times and I can not really pin point a reason why. This is something I never experienced with Ethan so I am not familiar with what exactly the problem might be. I hope to have some answers after tomorrow's meeting. The one thing I can tell you is that I am really showing BIG TIME with this pregnancy. Maybe it is true that you do actually carry boy babies and girl babies differently because my belly is very extended and pronounced with Ella Grace but overall I look mostly the same everywhere else. People keep telling me my face has not changed at all. With Ethan I sort of swelled all over but my belly was never THAT big...so this is a whole new thing for me. I literally look like I swallowed a little bowling ball.

Oh one thing I forgot to mention earlier about Ethan is how FUN it is when your child goes through the "I am 2 so I am not going to eat anything you want me to eat...." stage. The things that he loves he wont touch unless he is the mood for them at that particular moment. Chicken Fingers....forget it unless he asked for them specifically. Macaroni and Cheese...NO MOM I DONT THINK SO....Fried Shrimp...yeah right...and it always happens on the nights when you are going it solo. So tonight, having ruined my own dinner in the crock pot and frustrated with my 2-year old who refused to eat Mac and Cheese for the 1000th time, I did the ultimate Mommy NO NO and gave my child exactly what he wanted for dinner....2 packs of fruit snacks and 3 Snickerdoodle cookies. Ok Ok, no judging me. You just wait til you are over 5 months pregnant with an aching back and a rumbling stomach and you find yourself also eating cookies for dinner...and then see if you would not do the same thing if in my position.

Well it is time to sign off this thing for the night. My husband is finally home, the kitchen needs cleaning, work needs billing, my son needs his night-night milk, and laundry needs folding....oh did I mention my back is hurting....
