M.I.A

That is what I have been....missing in action!!! That is because my husband ALWAYS has my computer with him seven days a week for his business so that makes it impossible to ever find a spare moment to blog.

Fortunately things in our household are same ol' and boring. But in some case boring can be good. We have been having some work done around our house. We had a side driveway poured this week, and our painter has been here working completing the nursery and my kitchen. Both of which choosing colors for me had me completely stressed out and basically living at Sherwin Williams for the past four days. But thankfully we settled on a very subtle White Mint Green for her nursery and a beautiful deep Gold for our kitchen. Who knew decorating a new home was such work. The builder had the house painted a sandy color so everything was very neutral but also very bland. It has been nice to slowly come in and make it our home!

Well I am getting bigger by the day. This pregnancy is so much different than it was with Ethan. I need to get a little better at this blogging thing so I can post some new pics of Ethan, the nursery progress, and my ever growing belly. But that of course would mean my husband would have to go replace my camera which I let him borrow for work one day and the camera never made it home...go figure...

Anyway hope all is well with everyone. Keep reading and checking back and I promise I will figure out how to be better about putting some pictures up!!!!

Dizzy Spells

Well it has been awhile since I have been able to log on and write about what is going on with the Kramer Family. Joey has the computer usually 6 days a week so I might get lucky on Sundays and get to use it to catch up on emails and blogging and such...

Well life here is pretty much same as usual. Ethan spent Friday night with his Grammie and Poppy because they called wanting to have a sleepover with the boys, so Joey and I got to go out to a Mommy and Daddy quiet dinner without any interuptions.

Ethan is becoming quite the little helper around the house. It truly is amazing what children pick up on. I can not even begin to count the times Ethan has watched Joey clean out our fire place prior to starting a fire on cold nights. Well it is these little things that you really dont think children notice but believe me they do. Friday morning, prior to heading out to drop Ethan at Kim's, I started up one of his favorite shows and told him I was getting a quick shower. Now this is something we do day after day and he will always sit there mesmerized by the TV and not move a muscle. Well for some reason he decided he wanted Friday to be different. I took a quick shower and when I got out I could still here the show playing in the living room so I went ahead and dressed quickly. Once I went out to the living room to check on him I noticed he was not in the spot where he had been sitting when I went to get in the shower. I walked the downstairs looking for him and did not see him anywhere. As I was coming out of the kitchen I noticed something blue sticking out of the fireplace and quickly realized it was Ethan's pajama footie. I rushed over and what did I see.....my 2-year old with dust pan in hand fully seated in the fireplace scooping up the debris and dumping it out on to my fireplace stoop. I was in total shock. This was a moment I wish I had grabbed my camera, but I was worried about him eating the soot so I grabbed a rag and quickly got him cleaned up and undressed. In hind sight it really was a sweet gesture. Maybe next time I will get lucky enough for him to try and run the vaccuum!!!!

As for our other baby, she and I are headed to the doctor for a check-up first thing tomorrow morning. This is a routine check-up but I am glad it is time for me to go in because I have been experiencing mild to moderate dizzy spells for the past week. They come at random times and I can not really pin point a reason why. This is something I never experienced with Ethan so I am not familiar with what exactly the problem might be. I hope to have some answers after tomorrow's meeting. The one thing I can tell you is that I am really showing BIG TIME with this pregnancy. Maybe it is true that you do actually carry boy babies and girl babies differently because my belly is very extended and pronounced with Ella Grace but overall I look mostly the same everywhere else. People keep telling me my face has not changed at all. With Ethan I sort of swelled all over but my belly was never THAT big...so this is a whole new thing for me. I literally look like I swallowed a little bowling ball.

Oh one thing I forgot to mention earlier about Ethan is how FUN it is when your child goes through the "I am 2 so I am not going to eat anything you want me to eat...." stage. The things that he loves he wont touch unless he is the mood for them at that particular moment. Chicken Fingers....forget it unless he asked for them specifically. Macaroni and Cheese...NO MOM I DONT THINK SO....Fried Shrimp...yeah right...and it always happens on the nights when you are going it solo. So tonight, having ruined my own dinner in the crock pot and frustrated with my 2-year old who refused to eat Mac and Cheese for the 1000th time, I did the ultimate Mommy NO NO and gave my child exactly what he wanted for dinner....2 packs of fruit snacks and 3 Snickerdoodle cookies. Ok Ok, no judging me. You just wait til you are over 5 months pregnant with an aching back and a rumbling stomach and you find yourself also eating cookies for dinner...and then see if you would not do the same thing if in my position.

Well it is time to sign off this thing for the night. My husband is finally home, the kitchen needs cleaning, work needs billing, my son needs his night-night milk, and laundry needs folding....oh did I mention my back is hurting....

5 months and counting....

Well I finally hit the 5 month mark...is it just me or did that seem to take forever? Little Ella Grace is now only 4 months and counting from making her grand entrance and we can not wait!

Our weekend this weekend was relatively uneventful. Joey worked ALL weekend (nothing new) and Ethan and I pretty much hung out together (also nothing new....) It was nice because my hubby did get home early Friday night and took us all out to a very nice Japanese dinner. Ethan loved it. He ate the fried rice, and shrimp, and some of the chicken too! He absolutely loves fortune cookies too. But then again, I have never seen Ethan meet a cookie he did not like :)

Saturday was nice too. Joey finished his work way earlier than expected and arranged for our babysitter to come (last minute) and he took me out on a nice date. We went and had burgers, caught a silly movie, and went out afterwards for dessert. It was such a great escape after being house bound with Ethan for 3 days. Ethan and I do have our little things we do...like for instance Thursdays are "McDonalds Thursdays" because we always have lunch there and he gets to play on the indoor playground with the other children. I hate that the weather is so cold and nasty right now because it makes it hard for a 2-year old to understand why he can't get outside and play like he wants too. I swear Ethan would get out there in 30 degree weather but for Mommy to tough it out it has to at least reach 65.

Joey and I have found a new church here in town that we have started going to regularly. We visited around for 7 months before finally finding something that seemed like a good fit. I am much more traditional than Joey when it comes to church because that it the type of environment I was raised in. Nothing wrong with contemporary, but it does not suit me and it is not what I want to raise my children in. I want a church with strong Baptist principles and Baptist theology and we have found that at Newnan First Baptist. I knew God had called us to be there when on the first day we visited the church, Ethan walked right in to the nursery and did not cry even one bit. He ALWAYS cries. No matter where we have gone and no matter how many times in a row we went somewhere else he would always cry. On day one, no tears at this church nursery so that was a great sign for me!!!!

Well my eyes are heavy. Even though I had at least an hour nap today I am still tired. Plus I need to sign off now before I pass out from the GAS my husband just let rip right in my face as I sit here typing this out. In fact, I feel myself starting to gag right now.....

Hope everyone has a fantastic week. I will keep you guys posted on all the wonderful happenings of the Kramers in the days ahead! Oh and pray that that stupid ground hog either sees his shadow or not....whichever means SPRING is coming because I have an anxious 2-year old that needs to get to play in the park badly!!!

Later....
